     Magpapahinga ako sa Lunes.
    (I’m going to rest on Monday.)
     Binili ko iyon noong Martes.
     (I bought it on Tuesday.)
     Maglalaba si Rizza sa Miyerkules.
     (Rizza will do the laundry on Wednesday.)
     Umalis kami noong Huwebes.
     (We left on Thursday.)
     Labas tayo sa Biyernes.
     (Let’s go out on Friday.)
     Magkikita kami ni Emi sa darating na Sabado.
     (Emi and I are going to meet this Saturday.)
     Nagba-basketball sila tuwing Linggo.
     (They play basketball every Sunday.)

 

1. Use the preposition ‘SA’ (on) before the day when referring to a specific future occurence.

    – Pupunta ako sa doktor sa Martes.

      (I will go to the doctor on Tuesday.)

    – May meeting tayo sa Huwebes.

      (We have a meeting on Thursday.)

2. Use the preposition ‘NOONG’ (last) before the day to indicate past events that occurred on a specific day.

    – Nag-yoga kami noong Miyerkules.

      (We did yoga last Wednesday.)

    – Nag-mall sila noong Biyernes.

      (They went to the mall on Friday.)

3. Use the preposition ‘TUWING’ (every) before the day to indicate recurring events or habitual actions, similar to “every”  in English.

    – Maaga akong gumigising tuwing Lunes.

      (I wake up early every Monday.)

    – Naglilinis ako ng bahay tuwing Sabado.

      (I clean the house every Saturday.)

4. Use ‘SA DARATING NA’ (this coming) before the day of the week to refer to an upcoming day.

     – May handaan sa bahay sa darating na Huwebes.

       (We’re having a gathering at home this Thursday.)

     – May laro kami sa darating na Biyernes.

       (We have a game this coming Friday.)

5. Use ‘MULA’ (from) and ‘HANGGANG’ (until) to show a time range.

     – Nagtatrabaho ako mula Lunes hanggang Biyernes.

       (I work from Monday to Friday.)

     – Sarado ang opisina mula Sabado hanggang Linggo.

       (The office is closed from Saturday to Sunday.)
