1. Add the linker “NG” after a time word ending in a vowel before using it with a part of the day.

    – mamayang hapon (this afternoon)

    – mamayang gabi (tonight / this evening)

    – ngayong umaga (this morning) – present tense

    – kaninang umaga (this morning) – past tense

    – kaninang tanghali (earlier at lunch time)

2. Use the connector “NG” between a time word and a part of the day when the time word ends with a consonant.

    – bukas ng madaling-araw (tomorrow at dawn)

    – kahapon ng umaga (yesterday morning)

    – kahapon ng hapon (yesterday afternoon)

    – sa Lunes ng umaga (on Monday morning)
